Welcome to the At A Kitchen Table (KIT) Blog...
KIT are a diverse group of parents seeking a balance in life, nurturing ourselves as well as our children. We aim to create a family life that looks out towards its community as much as in towards its members.

We are a questioning lot who strive to understand ideas and the evidence for ideas, often finding ourselves going against the grain. Through caring, supporting and respecting each other as we deal with our changing lives, we make KIT a safe space where we can be ourselves. Part of our joy in life is creativity of all kinds, and this blog has been set up to share that, not only amongst our members but with the wider world as well. We are mainly based at what is fondly known as the "KIT Forum". We welcome new members - all you have to do is register and say who you are and why you'd like to join us (just as a guard against spammers).

Before posting on the boards please read our full Forum Code of Conduct which will tell you a bit more about us and how we do things. We love having new people join us but we are strict about promoting conduct that is supportive of our community. Disagreement is fine, disrespect is not.
